It's a piece made of pochote with a drawer in nazareno wood; a mix of woods for the pins and knob; the front is made of what we believe to be rain tree from fallen branches. On the top is the perfectly preserved skin of a Centruroides margaritatus scorpion, along with a guanacaste tree seed and an rain tree seed, protected by glass and a teak ring.
This type of scorpion often uses tree bark as a refuge (in fact, we often come across them in our house, which is surrounded by trees).
